My name is Jakub Stańczuk. I am a radiology specialist from Siedlce, a small town near Warsaw in Poland. My mother tongue is Polish. I also speak English and a little German - I would like to improve the latter in the future.
I decided to pursue a career in Switzerland because I wanted to work in a new environment and develop both professionally and personally. When I saw the job offer, I applied straight away. I was introduced to the "Lingua" language concept by Swiss HRmed following my application.
I think that the Lingua language concept offers a very good opportunity to facilitate a smooth start in a new team in a foreign country. In addition, the program offers the chance to get to know life abroad even before the actual move to Switzerland. I not only learn the German language, but also get to know new habits and ways of thinking that differ from those in my home country.
During my language course, I lived in a private home on the outskirts of Munich. It took about 30 minutes to get to the school by S-Bahn. The language school was located directly above the S-Bahn station, which was very convenient.
In my free time, I enjoyed taking long walks through the city. I particularly liked Marienplatz, the English Garden and the Olympic Park. On free weekends, I often took the opportunity to visit other Bavarian cities and get to know more of the region.
The experiences during the course and the time in Munich helped me a lot to find my way around linguistically and culturally.

I really enjoyed the lessons. I got to know people from all over the world - these contacts are priceless because they facilitate intercultural exchange. If anyone is thinking about working in a German-speaking country and wants to communicate well with future colleagues, I can recommend the concept without reservation.
My stay in Munich lasted a total of six to seven months. Five days after my TELC exam, I started working at a university clinic in Zurich.

Swiss HRmed not only helped me (and with great success) to find a new job in Switzerland. They went far beyond the call of duty: They were always there to support and help me when I needed it.

Even after more than 6 years, almost every weekend feels like a mini-vacation! This is due to the many attractive (outdoor) activities you can do here and the beautiful surroundings. It never gets boring!

The collaboration was uncomplicated and transparent. Communication with Brigit is always honest, supportive and fair. She does what she says and is always willing to think along with you
